Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: HI there: It was very difficult this winter to keep up with my school work for various reason. First of all, both of my parents fell ill, and my father required 2 surgeries and been away from them while they are not healthy took a toll on me and spiral me into a deep depression. I contacted right away student services to get their support as well as my family doctor.

I had a couple of sessions with a therapist from Queens and I am also meeting a doctor from Student Service tomorrow May 8. My doctor is also completing my accommodation medical request which i will forward as soon as I get it back from Dr. David Kepecs from Toronto Western Hospital, Family Practice.

My professors will tell you that I reached out to them to try to get extension or accommodation, but my head was not there and I couldn't get to concentrate, study and attend class some days as I was constantly worries about my mom and dad.

I am now back home, and with them by my side I feel that I can resume work and assignment if I was going to get some guidance remotely. I really want to get back on top of things before September comes around.

I would also would like to have the Spanish course removed from my transcript as i wasn't at all participating a i was at a very low point in early January 2023.
I would be happy to discuss further with you as i really would like to get back on top of things as soon as possible. Your understanding and support would be greatly appreciated.
