Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear Whom it may concern,

For the majority of the semester, I was either hospitalized or dealing with sickle cell crises which led me to be absent in class and request extensions on assignments. In March and April I was hospitalized which led to me missing big deadlines for final projects and papers. My professors were kind enough to grant me the extensions, but once I was hospitalized (April 10th) it was in the middle of the exam period which made me have tons of work piled up. I had to complete over 6 assignments in the course of two weeks which was not only stressful but merely impossible. Thankfully I completed the assignments but they were not my best mark thus resulting in poor marks. I am asking for a CR, As I truly did my best to complete all my assignments in a timely manner under harsh conditions. These marks will negatively impact my overall GPA, Which will make post grad diffcult. The law school I will be attending in the fall requires a certain GPA and having these marks on my transcript will have huge implications for my future.

My accessibility officer, Mary Buynak has first-handly seen how my hospitalization has impacted my stress level and ability to complete assignments. My doctors at KGH and accessibility officer can vouche for me regarding my hospitalization dates and the impacts it has had on me.I would truly apperciate if I was able to recieve a CR.

Thank you for your time and consideration

Regards,
Jaida Egboye
