Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Respected Associate Dean,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you today to express my sincere request for permission to retake a course, Math 121, even though the deadline for course enrollment has passed. I understand that this is an exceptional request, but I believe there are compelling reasons that warrant an exception in my case.
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge my responsibility for missing the initial enrollment deadline for the course.
The reason behind my delay in enrollment is due to unforeseen personal circumstances that arose during the registration period. Mathematics was is a tough subject for me but I have started to love it over the course but unfortunately my grades in the first semester were extremely bad, hence it would be extremely kind I you could let me retake Math 121 A and affording the full course would be an extreme reach but I understand that I am late to enroll as I was unsure about my grade for the exam until yesterday. I have failed the course and I would like to take it over the summer.
Considering all these factors, I humbly request your understanding and kind consideration in granting me the opportunity to retake the course, even though the deadline has passed. I genuinely believe that this exception will enable me to continue my academic journey smoothly and allow me to fulfill the educational requirements necessary for my personal and professional growth
Yours sincerely,
Dhruav Das

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: Respected Associate Dean,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to present a plan outlining my determination and commitment to successfully pass the course, Math 121, which I unfortunately failed in the previous semester. I understand the seriousness of this matter and assure you that I have reflected on my past performance and identified the necessary steps to ensure a positive outcome going forward.

Identifying Weaknesses: I have taken the time to thoroughly evaluate my performance in the failed course, identifying the specific areas where I struggled and contributed to my unsatisfactory grade. By understanding my weaknesses, I can effectively target those areas and seek additional support and resources to overcome them.

Seeking Academic Support: I have already reached out to the professor of the course and expressed my determination to rectify my academic shortcomings. I have discussed my previous challenges with the professor, who has kindly offered guidance and support throughout the course retake process. I will make the most of this opportunity by attending office hours, seeking clarification on challenging topics, and actively participating in class discussions.

Late arrival- This is not a excuse at all and I had been given generous study materials but I had arrived 90 days late to Canada due to my study permit arrival and it took me some time to adjust to the study system but now I am completely aware and ready to give my utmost attention to academics and especially this course.
I understand the significance of retaking the failed course and the impact it has on my academic journey. By implementing this comprehensive plan, I firmly believe that I can overcome the previous setback and successfully pass the course. I am confident in my ability to apply myself, seek support when needed, and demonstrate the necessary dedication to achieve a favorable outcome.

I kindly request your consideration and support in granting me the opportunity to retake the course. I am more than willing to discuss this plan further and address any concerns you may have. Please let me know if there is a convenient time for us to meet, and I will be glad to accommodate your schedule.

Thank you for your time and attention. I appreciate your understanding and look forward to a positive resolution to this matter.
