Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I am petitioning to the associate dean??s decision that I need to drop STAT 200, PHGY 216, BCHM 218, and CLST 103 in Winter 2023.

I have been struggling with mental health issues that continuously worsened since November 2022. In March 2023, it affected my academic ability to the point that I was only able to commit approximately 2-3 hours per day on academics, which is only sufficient to complete one course, according to my personal ability. Therefore, I hope to keep PSYC 100, a 6.0 credit course, and drop the rest 3.0 courses. Meanwhile, I seek support from the mental health counselor at Queen??s student wellness services, and the drop course deadline has already passed.

I plan to retake the dropped courses in future winter or summer semesters, and I will seek support from healthcare professionals to improve my mental health condition.

I would be very appreciated if this petition can be approved. Thank you.
