Dear Academic Petition Committee,
I am submitting this petition seeking your permission to kindly waive the requirement to withdraw for one year, which is the letter I received recently as I did not meet the required GPA. I took a light course load in the Winter and once requested my professors for late assignment submissions, based on the accommodation that I was advised about in my previous academic probation letter that was waived, I proceeded to submit assignments taking some extra time. My professor for WRIT 125 was not aware of the late assignment submission that I forwarded and did not take my late submissions into consideration and count them towards my final mark. As such, I failed the course. Once I explained the situation, he understood my circumstance and has given me permission to drop the course after the deadline. I am also humbly requesting the Academic Petition Office to please grant me permission to drop WRIT 125 late.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: If my request is granted, my academic plan for success would be registering for my desired degree plan which I have already spoken to an academic advisor about. Also, lowering my course load to part-time would greatly impact the way I handle my time management which I have struggled with in the past. I also plan to be in constant contact with my professors and or TAs, requesting a mentor through the Peer Mentor Program and will continue to schedule meetings with an academic advisor at least twice a month.
Thank you so much for your understanding and consideration.
Anita
