Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter:
Dear Associate Dean Dr. Jenn Stephenson,
I am writing to you regarding an academic petition to extend my Incomplete Grade for LAW 201 and LAW 206. I received this Incomplete Grade as I was unable to complete some course deliverables in the Winter 2023 semester. This summer, I was unable to complete these deliverables within the one-term extension. Due to variations in my health, including circumstances that affected my mental health, I had difficulty with routine the mental capacity to complete these academic deliverables extending from February in Winter 2023 until the end of summer. Thankfully, I have worked with my medical team to take new medication that has stabilised my capacity.
I am requesting an additional month (until September 30th, 2023) to complete these deliverables. I am currently enrolled in courses for the Fall Term, however, given the lightened workload during the first term of the semester according to my syllabi, I have scheduled in the time to complete these deliverables. These deliverables will be submitted before the end of September. Given the full accessibility of all LAW 201 and LAW 206 content on OnQ, each deliverable is easily accessed and submitted at any time, allowing me to easily spread out the work in September and submit my deliverables and final assessments online. This will allow me to complete these credits, and with the completion of my upcoming credits, graduate in May.
I have also established a regular counselling plant to support me throughout this upcoming term. Please find my supporting documentation attached to this petition.
