Petition Letter: Dear Office of the Associate Dean,

My name is Gerald Parsons, and my student number is 10121954. I am unfortunately writing you today as I find myself in quite the rough situation with school and my financials. I was hoping to be able to be put into part time studies this term but found out a few months ago that I was short the 3.0 GPA needed for accelerated BHSC admission with a 2.9 and also getting a C- in a course which made me fail the requirements. My issue here is that with all my financial burdens and trying to volunteer, work, help my mom out, I find myself not able to put my full potential into school. I understand that this is life and it's just something I need to deal with on my own, however these things have caused me to have lower grades in almost all of my classes (even higher grades I haven't been able to put proper time into) and now is beginning to bring my GPA to a point that would be hard to get back out of to be allowed into any program as a full-time student to be able to get help through OSAP. It seems with most programs I would need at least a 2.7 GPA, even to achieve that at the moment after 9 courses (3 semesters) I would need something around a 3.5 in those courses, with already having issues with time management this will be almost unrealistic to achieve and would mean I would have lower grades and most likely not get into any higher educated med school. Even over the summer having to work, my 15 year old dog passed away, I had a easy course and still ended up with a C as I wasn't able to allocate my time and mind with everything going on. I know this isn't anyone's issue but mine, but after missing my grade mark and explaining all this I was hoping that one of the 3 people I spoke with would let me slide in with the 2.9 GPA to the the part-time or full-time student program to see where I actually stand with the time and financial
