Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
My name is Briana Frew and I am a fourth year student majoring in Gender Studies. In order to graduate on time, I am required take 6 courses this semester. Regrettably, I am currently only enrolled in 5. To no one's fault but my own, I dropped my 6th course last week as I was second on the waitlist for an alternative course (FILM 236). Unfortunately, I did this without knowing that the final date to add/swap courses was yesterday. With that being said, I had also intended to swap my LAW 201 course for RELS 202, since it was not the course I had originally planned on taking.
As mentioned before, this is to no one's fault but my own, and I understand if there is nothing able to be done. However, I would be immensely grateful if there was a way for me to take a 6th course in order to graduate in time, and/or if I was able to swap the courses previously mentioned. Additionally, I would like to note that I have been on the waitlist for several courses for a few days in hopes that I would be able to get into the courses prior to the academic deadline.
Please let me know if there is anything that can be done about the issues mentioned above, as I would be very appreciative if there was a way for me to graduate on time. I can ensure you, as well as my future academic instructors that I will work hard in these courses in order to catch up, and continue working hard throughout the rest of my duration at Queen's.
