Petition Letter: I am writing to request your assistance in registering for HLTH 102/3.0 or MUSC 104/3.0 after the official deadline for registration. I understand that university policies and deadlines are put in place to ensure the smooth operation of academic programs. However, I believe that my unique circumstances warrant an exception to this policy.
The reason I was unable to register before the deadline is due to a series of unexpected and unavoidable challenges I faced at my workplace. I have always strived to meet all my academic responsibilities promptly, including paying my tuition fees and registering for courses within the stipulated time-frame. Unfortunately, this semester, I encountered an unprecedented situation at my workplace that greatly impacted my ability to fulfill these obligations.
In detail, my workplace experienced a significant administrative issue that resulted in the deactivation and reactivation of my employee account. This process took an unexpectedly long time to resolve, causing a delay in the processing of my salary. Consequently, I did not receive my paycheck on time, which left me without the necessary funds to pay my tuition fees before the registration deadline.
I would like to emphasize that this situation was entirely beyond my control, and I had diligently planned to pay my fees and register for my courses well in advance. It is my belief that I should not be penalized for circumstances that were beyond my influence. I am fully committed to my academic pursuits and eager to enroll in either to continue my educational journey.
To address this issue, I kindly request that you consider my request for late registration. I assure you that I am fully capable of successfully completing this course, and my commitment to my academic responsibilities remains unwavering.
