Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear Faculty,

My name is Yiliang Hong, my student number is 20207523. I am a senior student. At present, the academic pressure and internship pressure are heavy, I need to take several courses outside the school to relieve my pressure. I'd like to take four classes and transfer the credits to the fall and winter semesters. However, I know senior student with honors degree can only apply for transfer credits for a maximum of 2 courses in both fall and winter semesters. Hence, I am writing this request for my additional credits.

First, I will join a company as an intern in January. I am very interested in this internship, so I cherish this opportunity very much. I hope I can have enough time to finish this job, I also don't want to delay my academic plan, so I want to take more credits during the period of October to December, so as to ensure that I can be more focused and devoted during the internship. If I can take these courses ahead, more time could be saved for my intership pressure during the fourth years.

Second,I have acquired an accumulative GPA of 3.30 and proven academic integrity, indicating that I have the capability to learn more courses at a time.

In the end, I really wish my application to be approved . I will be really appreciated and cherish this opportunity if this request is permitted. Thank you very much.

Best regards
Hong

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: Dear Faculty,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to formally request permission to enroll in additional classes outside of Queens University for the upcoming fall semester. As a current fourth-year student majoring in Economics and minoring in Mathematics, I have been carefully considering my academic and career goals, and I believe that this request is necessary to help me achieve those goals more effectively.
My primary reason for seeking this permission is to alleviate the stress and time constraints that will arise during the winter when I intend to balance my studies with a remote internship at a company based in Vancouver. This internship opportunity presents a valuable chance for me to gain practical experience and apply the knowledge I have acquired during my academic journey.
By enrolling in extra classes this fall, I aim to make efficient use of my time and ensure that I remain on track to meet my academic requirements while also excelling in my internship. I have thoroughly reviewed the course offerings both at Queens University and the institution where I intend to take additional classes, and I am confident that these courses align with my academic and career objectives.
To demonstrate my commitment to maintaining high academic standards, I checked my academic transcript, which reflects my consistent dedication to my studies during my time at Queens University. I am confident that I can successfully manage the workload of additional courses while maintaining a strong academic performance.
I understand that granting this request may require special consideration, and I am willing to adhere to any conditions or guidelines set by the university regarding my concurrent enrollment. Moreover, I am committed to ensuring that my academic responsibilities at Queens University are not compromised, and I will work closely with my academic advisor to ensure that my course selections align with my degree requirements.
I kindly request your favorable consideration of this appeal and would be grateful for the opportunity to discuss this matter further if necessary. I am eager to take on the challenge of balancing my studies and internship while maintaining my academic excellence.
Thank you for considering my request. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter.
