Dear Academic Petition Members,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to formally appeal for a waiver of the GPA requirements for my graduation due to extenuating circumstances that significantly impacted my academic performance. I understand the importance of maintaining academic standards; however, my circumstances were beyond my control, and I seek your understanding and support.
I want to explain my challenges during the specified semester/term. I was recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia and a breast cancer survivor. These circumstances profoundly affected my ability to concentrate on my studies and meet the GPA requirements set by the institution. Despite my best efforts, I earned a lower grade than I can achieve under normal circumstances.
When I started this journey as a second career I was very excited and eager to learn new things. I have always taken my education seriously and maintained a high standard of academic performance throughout my life I am life time learner but these unforeseen events have been emotionally and mentally taxing, making it exceptionally challenging to focus on my studies during the specified period. However, I am determined to overcome these challenges and continue my education with renewed focus and dedication.
In light of my situation, I kindly request that you consider waiving the GPA requirements for my BA in psychology degree graduation. I will provide any necessary documentation, such as medical records or statements from relevant parties, to validate my claims. I believe that granting this waiver will give me a fair chance to recover from these setbacks and enable me to continue my education and fulfill my academic potential.
I sincerely hope that you will consider my appeal sympathetically. I am more than willing to discuss my situation further or provide additional information if required. I am immensely grateful for your time and understanding in reviewing my appeal. Academic Plan: I want to assure you that I am taking proactive steps to address the issues that led to my lower performance. I have sought counseling/support services and have established a support network to help me navigate these difficult times. With the necessary support, I am confident I can regain focus and excel in my studies.
