Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Hi,
I am writing to request to drop the courses this semester so that I can continue my studies next semester without nay permanent effect on my career as I wasn't able to concentrate on my studies due to some financial and mental health problems. This summer, firstly I met with a car accident and as I was stressed with all this, my friends who I thought were like my family, abandoned me and made me feel that I am not good enough and which made me question everything I believed in. Due to this, I started overthinking and started having mood swings and I wasn't able to work or leave my room. As I was sitting in my room, I started having negative thoughts and at one point I wanted to follow them and I would cry whole day and night even though nothing new happened. then my roommate noticed my behaviour that I wasn't talking to anyone or eating and that I was just laying on my bed all day long. So he tried getting food for me and tried cheering and getting me out of my room, but when nothing worked, he told me to talk to the counsellor as they would be able to best help me. after talking with the counsellor for three weeks, I tried catching up with my studies during the fall break and I wanted to go back to my happy self. But during all of this, the due date for my fees passed and I got a mail that my courses were locked until the payment is made in full and I had a government loan approved to help with my fees, but unknowingly during my down time of three months, I used most of the loan money for my daily expenses. and when I realized this I went back to my previous mental state and it took me again three weeks to come out of it. And this time, I'm felt ashamed to ask talk to the counsellor about my financial state. So, I am writing to get another chance at my studies, as if I have these courses dropped about any financial charges then I would be able to turn my life around in next few months and get mentally and financially stable and get back to studies to finish my degree.
I hope that you understand my situation and this is my last chance to fix everything that I have lost in the last three months due to my mental health.
Thank you for your time.
Balpreet
