Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Dear Whom it May Concern,

I trust this correspondence finds you well. I am submitting this formal petition to request the withdrawal from the course ENSC 310 after the academic deadline. Unfortunately, I was unable to adhere to the initial submission deadline on OnQ or complete my tests within the prescribed timeframe. While cognizant of the established policies, I am compelled to bring to your attention the extenuating circumstances I am currently facing in my personal life.

Despite my sincere efforts, unforeseen challenges have impeded my ability to complete course requirements on time. In retrospect, I acknowledge that I may have overextended myself this semester by simultaneously enrolling in this course, maintaining three part-time jobs, and managing other coursework. The demands of a full-time workload, necessitated by my financial independence, have further strained my schedule.

Balancing these responsibilities has proven more formidable than anticipated, resulting in undue stress and a consequential impact on the quality of my academic work. Recent familial challenges have also necessitated additional work hours to meet financial obligations. Beyond financial struggles, I have encountered profound emotional stress due to the discovery of my partner's infidelity, causing significant emotional distress. This emotional turmoil has adversely affected my ability to concentrate and effectively engage with the academic demands of ENSC 310.

I want to assure you that I am actively seeking therapeutic support and other medical assistance to address and overcome these challenges. While I acknowledge the significance of academic commitments, my current emotional state hampers my capacity to perform at the expected level in ENSC 310. I humbly request your understanding and consideration in granting this petition, affording me the necessary time and space to prioritize my mental health during this challenging period.

I extend my deepest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, and I sincerely appreciate your consideration of my circumstances. Recognizing the constraints within which you operate, I am grateful for any flexibility you may extend to alleviate my situation. I am open to discussing alternative solutions that align with the course requirements and look forward to your guidance in this matter.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I eagerly await your response.

Sincerely,

Amanda Miller
