Petition Letter: Hello,
My name is Madeline Budd and I am a fourth year student in Concurrent Education and English. I am writing, because I am having a hard time this semester, and I am feeling very overwhelmed and mentally distressed. I’ve had some things that have severely affected my mental health, and because of that I was unable to complete a multitude of assignments during the month of November for my French class. I do not want to fail because I do not want my GPA to get worse as last year I failed a course. I do have a letter from my psychologist which explains my circumstances.

New Information: I have spoken to my professor, and he has offered me his support on my decision to drop the class. I truly do apologize. I have just had a rough time this semester completing my assignments due to unforeseen mental health issues. My other two classes should be fine, but I do not believe due to my anxiety that I am in a position to be able to write an exam. I do not want to have a fail on my transcript either.
