Petition Letter: I am writing this petition for late course drop.
My name is Qian Yuyan. I was very lucky to be admitted to Queen's University in March this year. However, unluckily, in August I was rejected for student visa, which made my desire to your school fail. Devastated, I reviewed my visa application material again and asked for professional advice, but I had no other materials to make up for this, having little hope for getting my visa before school started. Unwillingly, I gave up my dream to study in your school.

I sent an email to explain my visa situation and asked a refund in September. Unfamiliar with Queen's course drop policy and refund procedure, it caused me to miss the deadline and fail to drop some of the courses. I am truly sorry for bothering you. Could you please kindly drop the courses for me? Only after I could drop the courses, I can ask for a refund. It is a big amount of money for my family.
