Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To Whom it may concern:

I hope this letter finds you well. I apologize for submitting this so late but my family has been in Canada for roughly a week. I have already spoken to the profs of these courses and offered to submit the work in late December but they all recommended I do this instead. I will provide you with the same details I provided them.
 Over the past few months, I have been facing some challenging personal and family issues that required my immediate attention. Without getting into too many details, members of my family and I decided to move East to help extended family members who were struggling because of the impact brought by what is happening in Eastern Europe. This decision was made on very short notice. Unfortunately, economic and social struggles overseas took a turn for the worse as we dealt with several deaths in the family. These circumstances significantly impacted my ability to focus on my academic responsibilities and I unfortunately missed the deadline to drop. I have been seeing a therapist to deal with extreme anxiety since 2020, and plan to resume in early 2023 for anxiety, paranoia, and PTSD. I will attach forms that prove so. As such, I will also apply for academic consideration for next semester as I really would like to finish my degree, but would like to do so with academic assistance going forward, as I realized I can't do this alone.
