Petition Letter

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,

I have been enrolled in MUSC 115 since my first year of studies at Queen's. It is a year long course which occurs every Friday afternoon. I previously took it last semester as a class, assuming I would be able to continue for second semester. However, as I have a tutorial overlapping this course for one hour, I was automatically taken off the enrollment for this class. Since this has been brought to my attention, I have contacted both of my professors to ensure they accept this course overlap as long as I do not miss any testing evaluations. These professors have responded with their approval and I now hope to take this course for credits as I previously have done.

MUSC 115 is my favorite class as it allows myself the opportunity to practice music amongst my academic-focused degree. I am a driven student with multiple extracurriculars. I am currently the President of the Civil Discipline Club and a Design lead for the Ontario Engineering Competition. I have been able to multitask between multiple extracurriculars while keep a high GPA and previously taking MUSC 115, making myself confident that I will be able to add this course in without affecting my other classes.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application,

Clara Iida

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: Future plans for taking this course will be to delegate my time efficiently towards my classes. I have been doing this since my first year at Queen's, proving my ability to delegate time and prioritize tasks. I will continue to do this for the following semester to ensure I can withstand the course load. With the addition of MUSC 115, I will have five courses in total this semester. Five courses remains to be the least amount of courses I have taken in a semester. In first year, as an Engineering student, I was able to effectively handle MUSC 115, while taking seven other courses and I was happy with the result of all my class evaluations,
