Petition Letter: Hello my name is JuWeon (Junny) Kim and I have been experiencing depression and anxiety after transferring from Nursing to Economics. I have talked about it with a physician at the cdk clinic and I was able to confirm that I am experiencing exacerbation of depression and anxiety attacks. This psychological challenge was beyond my control and it had greatly affected my academic performance. I was facing symptoms such as, loss of concentration, memory difficulties/personality changes, fatigue and not wanting to meet people or going out of my home. These symptoms made me lose focus in my studies, lose interest in the material I am learning, lose memory and prevent me from going to some of my lectures because I felt anxiety whenever I tried to socialize with people. I have been experiencing exacerbation of these symptoms for around two years, and they have recently gotten worse in the fall semester 2023. I have been prescribed with medication called escitalopram oxalate and I hope that it will help with my symptoms.
