Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Academic Plan: My academic plan is not entirely relevant to this request, as I am now being forced to do this petition due to the lack of assistance provided by the school. However, as explained in my petition letter, I would like to take COMM 200 in accordance with the required courses of the Certificate in Business program, of which I am not currently enrolled in. I have been consistently trying to improve my performance in my academic studies, and I believe the increases in my GPA value these last couple of semesters adequately portray this. While I still do not have the required GPA for the Certificate in Business Program, I am still steadfast in pursuit of this goal while also working towards completing the required courses despite the setbacks in my academic success, professionally attributed to unfortunate brain injuries. In regard to this disablement, I have yet to see a neurologist to get a formal diagnosis of the extent of the permanent damage due to the years-long wait time in Ontario, but I do have other paperwork from psychological professionals which have been submitted to the school numerous times. Despite this, all I am asking for is the school's support in my pursuit of my academic goals, which due to the nature of this request being to add a class that I was inhibited from enrolling myself in due to circumstances beyond my control, is a fair ask.
