I am currently requesting late enrolment in four courses; ECON 280, ECON 361, COMM 221, and HLTH 101. In essence, this request arose from a delayed payment on tuition. My family has recently encountered financial hardships. These circumstances necessitated me paying the entirety of my tuition during the present and recently foregone semesters (as opposed to a quarter of the total dues in prior semesters). I depended on my most recent paycheque circa January 18, whereby I remained monetarily incapable to pay off the aggregate balance preceding that date. The payment process undertook a multi-day duration, and I received confirmation regarding the completion of the transaction on January 21st. Unfortunately this transaction finalized on a date succeeding the deadline for registering in additional courses. The aforementioned courses existed in my shopping cart at the beginning of this semester. A notable development lies in my initial unawareness of this enrollment blockage on both ECON courses; in which I proceeded with frequent attendance during the first two weeks of class this semester. Despite its online arrangement, I have kept pace with the weekly content for COMM 221 and HLTH 101, as I have several friends who remain enrolled in the course. This proposed realignment furthermore retains a vital significance within the fulfillment of my degree; whereby ECON 280 comprises the three units of Option Courses required, and ECON 361 accounts for my three outstanding units of ECON courses. Moreover, COMM 221 and HLTH 101 represent courses allocated towards my elective requisites. Both HLTH 101 and ECON 361 retain no overdue assessments. However, I completed a handwritten one-percent quiz for ECON 280 during the second week of classes.
I have conversed with each professor responsible for instructing each lecture during their respective office hours. All of whom permitted my enrolment in their class, conditional on the authorization of this petition. In cognizance with administrative principles, I am presently seeking email confirmation from those instructors. I have additionally discussed this situation with Michael Barber, the current Undergraduate Chair of Economics. I will attach screenshot evidence of that email interaction. Barber granted my enrolment in both ECON courses, contingent on the approval of each individual professor; in which I have received antecedent verbal confirmation. I ensured there remained no scheduling conflicts in regards to my other classes, and both classes additionally retain numerous open enrolment seats, according to the figures on SOLUS. I have additionally acquired a bank loan, instantaneously providing me the opportunity of paying off supplemental tuition fees.

Academic Plan: I am filing this petition in correspondence with my academic credit requisites. I require three Option Courses, satisfied with my successful enrollment in ECON 280. Whereas, ECON 361 composes the three units of the general Economics courses I must complete to graduate. Furthermore, COMM 221 and HLTH 101 comprise six units of elective classes I must fulfill. As mentioned during my general appeal, I have competently ensured I have remained caught up on each course’s weekly lecture deliveries. Therefore, there should exist minimal challenges or inconveniences keeping up with my fellow classmates. New Information: I have provided supplemental context concerning my conversations with Dr. Weili Ding, who represents the instructor of ECON 361 this term. This settlement appears more complex. Professor Ding would prefer my petition approved preliminarily to her ultimate decision. I am uncertain how I should proceed from here, as I previously presumed the authorization of this petition depended on the instructor’s support and not the inverse direction. Nevertheless, Professor Ding did not outrightly express denial regarding my enrollment, so I am remaining confident about her subsequent approval; contingent on the approval of this petition. Perhaps this comprises a situation where I must find a solution in conjunction with the Dean’s Office and Professor Ding. Given this involuted circumstance, I would immensely appreciate any advice regarding the aptest approach for this situation.
