Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I always carried a worry with me whenever my friends went to visit their families in Gaza from the place I was raised, Kuwait. The Gazan diaspora was present in Kuwait, having taken in hundreds of thousands of refugees from previous conflicts and wars. I grew up around many of those same Gazans, those who haven't seen home but rather dreamt of it. I was raised with them and considered many of their families as my own, as they did with mine. I have lost 62 friends and their family members so far. These are the same people I called brother, sister, auntie, uncle, etc. The mental toll this has taken on me is pretty intense, notably after attending their vigils, funerals, and commemorations. I was struggling to keep up with my academic work due to my ongoing mental crisis, intensified by pre-disposed mental health troubles. Thankfully, I was able to recoup most of my grades, but this one specific class (ENGL161) is why I am going through the appeal process, hoping that I can find some understanding of my situation.
Please let me know if I can assist with any further tasks,
Sincerely,
Malek Benameur.
