Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I hope this finds you well. My name Yasmine Hamze 20231380, I am writing to express my concerns regarding the grading process for PHIL 351 and to petition for a regrade of all coursework submitted throughout the semester. After careful consideration and discussions with plenty of fellow students, it has become evident that there are significant discrepancies in the grading of assignments within this course. Many of us feel that the grading standards are unreasonably high, feedback is lacking, and our grades do not accurately reflect our efforts and capabilities.
Throughout the semester, the expectations for assignments seem to be exceedingly high without clear guidance or constructive feedback on how to meet these expectations. It's quite disheartening when our professor provides minimal feedback, and when he does, it often boils down to a generic suggestion to elaborate more. This feedback doesn't offer much guidance for improvement, as certain tasks valued at just one point, demanded extensive reading for a prompt of only 100 words, to which Prof Lopez simply neglects to provide any feedback at all. Despite my efforts to improve, constant failure without constructive feedback left me feeling defeated. It became clear that investing time in readings of over 20 pages only to fail such a minimal task was no longer sustainable, so I stopped doing them. I have never experienced participation questions at the expectations this course has set. Same goes for
