Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Hello - last semester, I was enrolled in STAM 200 the course I'm hoping to get into this summer semester. I just realized that my plan was based on flawed information and it's better for me to retake STAM 200 now rather than waiting. I can graduate at Christmas if I do it now, otherwise I'll have to wait another whole semester to take it.
I became extremely sick with an infection that's the topic of a seperate appeal which you may or may not have access to the information on, but to summarize, I got misdiagnosed as having a bacterial infection and was given drugs which amplified the actual fungal infection to such a high degree it almost killed me and I was unable to sleep for so long that it impaired my ability to complete the statistics course. That being said, I was averaging around 90% for the 4 or 5 modules that I completed, and thus I have already completed all the work the current semester's class is at now and more.
I would be so appreciative if I could gain entry to this course, the instructor Anna Rooke would probably have no problem with this and might even allow me to complete the quizzes I've misses, or who knows, maybe even count last semester's quiz marks as this semesters marks - not sure how that works at Queen's, of course.
Thank you so much for your time,
Michael Chown
