Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am emailing to drop these courses as I had made a visit and dropped my winter courses in the winter or 2024. At the time I was going through a lot because my mother had been ill as well as my grandmother and I couldn't commit the right amount of time to my classes. In that I had thought I had dropped mt summer courses as well but found out more recently that I hadn't, although I was enrolled in these classes I never actually attended them. During the last few months I have been having many issues with stress and an abusive relationship and I have more recently reach out out to student academic and financial aid services who then set me up with a person with the CARE program here at Queen's. When talking to her (Gail) we discussed these summer courses and felt it was best for me to petition to late drop them so I could then get the hold taken off my account and hopefully get into some classes for the fall during open enrolment if not the Winter at the latest. She also advised me that she could write a letter as documentation for the petition if needed.
