Petition Letter: I am a second-year economics major, and I was waitlisted for the class. For 3-4 days, I was number one on the waitlist and was confident I would get in. I even checked with course advising, and they told me that due to my position, I was likely to get enrolled. They also mentioned that the class might be over-enrolled if necessary. After waiting until the deadline, I unfortunately did not get in. I then went to the economics department, and they assured me it wouldn’t be an issue. They advised me to email Professor Wang for permission, which he kindly granted. I’ve been attending the class, taking notes, and really enjoying Professor Wang's teaching style.
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: For Econ 255, my primary focus will be to continue attending all lectures and participating, as I’ve already been granted permission by Professor Wang. I will stay organized by reviewing the syllabus and securing all required course materials to keep up with deadlines and assignments. Having a consistent study routine, I plan to review my notes and readings. I’ll get support through Professor Wang’s office hours to help with any thing I find difficult and maintain communication with the economics department to ensure my enrollment is finished.
