Petition Letter
Petition Letter: June 16th, 2015
To the Associate Dean (Studies):
I am appealing to have my PSYC 203, ECON 110, and ENGL 200 grades changed to a CR credit.
Ongoing health issues have impacted my ability to perform my best academically. During this past April, I was granted an appeal to drop two courses after the drop deadline was reached. I chose not to drop these three courses, as two are core courses for my medial and I am interested in switching into the other. Please use my previous appeal as a reference in regards to medical information.
As stated in my first appeal, the post-concussive symptoms that I had experienced made it difficult for me to focus and complete coursework. I chose to continue my studies because I felt I was already invested in my courses emotionally and because fear of falling behind in school. As a result, my final marks in these classes are not to standard and I do not think it is fair for my health to impede on my academics.
For future semesters, I plan to take lighter course loads as I am still recovering from my health issue.
I hope that you take my case into serious consideration.
Thank you,
Rachelle Joyce Lunar
