Petition Letter: Hello,
I am currently enrolled in SPAN 111, but I am too advanced for this course so I've spoken to several professors and it looks like SPAN 204 will be right for me. However, I am also in BIOL 102, and the weekly Lab, which is on Thursdays at 08:30, for that course is at the same time at one of the SPAN 204 classes. I asked the the Biology Department to change my timeslot over email and they said I should submit an appeal here. I know I selected I want to drop BIOL 102 in the dropdown menu but this is NOT the case. I just could not find an option that fully explained my situation so I chose the closest one. Please let me know what I can do to get this changed because without SPAN 204 my only option is to miss out on a fifth course this semester and I'd really like to not make that happen.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: Should my appeal go through and I can switch to SPAN 204 without dropping BIOL 102, I plan to focus on managing my time effectively. I'll organize my schedule to ensure I have dedicated time for lectures, labs, and self-study for both courses. In SPAN 204, I'll work on improving my advanced grammar, writing, and speaking skills, and supplement the coursework with extra reading and conversation practice. For BIOL 102, I'll make sure to stay on top of lab preparations and thoroughly review the results and concepts after each session. I’ll also make use of office hours to keep up with both subjects, addressing any challenges early on. Balancing the two courses will require adjusting my study techniques, but I’ll aim to stay consistent by reviewing material every day I have class to make sure I’m prepared for any upcoming work.
