Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello,

On September 16th, the deadline to add classes for the fall term, I had gone to Gordon Hall to get the hold on my account removed as I had paid tuition days before and it had not yet been processed. The hold on my account prevented me from enrolling in any classes. The worker at Gordon Hall told me to send an email before 3:30 to solus@queensu.ca with a screenshot of the tuition payment I had made. If I sent the email before 3:30 (which I did) the hold on my account would be removed the same day and I would have been able to enroll in a fifth course for this semester.

Despite sending the email with all the necessary information, the hold on my account persisted for another 3 days, putting me beyond the deadline and unable to enroll in my last course. As described, failing to enroll in another course was beyond my control which is why I am now writing this petition to get permission for a late enrollment.

I appreciate anything that can be done.
