Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Hi,
I am petitioning to have the participation marks from the first two classes dropped on the grounds that I was not enrolled in the course until after the second class. As I was impossible for me to participate in a class I am not enrolled in I believe that those grades should be dropped and redistributed between all the rest of the class participation marks or evenly through all of the grades in the course. I was told that because it is written in the syllabus to contact the professor by the end of the week for any makeup marks that my argument is no longer valid, however, I had not been able to find the syllabus before that point. When I enrolled in the course I looked for it and found a tab labeled SYLLABUS on onQ, however, there was absolutely nothing contained in it. As such, I saw no issue with talking to the professor in my first class, which I did.
