Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Dear Academic Petitions Team,
I am writing to formally request a waiver of the September 30 petition deadline in order to add CISC121 to my Fall term course schedule.
On the evening of September 27, I received the official letter from the Associate Dean outlining my academic penalty. At the time, I was overwhelmed with coursework, including several assignments and quizzes that required my immediate attention. This unexpected situation, combined with my academic responsibilities, left me struggling to manage everything effectively.
By the time I was able to focus on submitting a petition to add CISC121, the September 30 deadline had already passed. I have since reached out to the instructor of CISC121, Professor Richard Linley, explaining my situation. I am grateful that he has responded in support of my request to add the course late.
I sincerely apologize for not meeting the original deadline and appreciate your understanding of my circumstances. I respectfully request your consideration to allow my petition to add CISC121 for the Fall term.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Mingyu Wang
