Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean.

I’m writing this petition to have MATH121 dropped from the summer term and my transcript. Over the summer I was enrolled in MATH121 and CHEM281, due to issues I had with the previous school year I was put on academic probation and asked to return the following year (Fall 25). I dropped both my summer courses at the beginning of the summer but due to an error, I was only able to remove CHEM281 and not MATH121. I did not realize this till the end of summer when I was charged the tuition cost.

My hope for this appeal is to have this course dropped to allow me to apply for a financial appeal. I’m currently not in the financial space to pay this charge and would humbly ask to have the course dropped. Attached I have an email from Solus support explaining what happened and why I was charged.

If this petition is granted, I plan on using this year away from school to become financially independent to help fund my academic journey once I return to my studies.
