To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter to formally request a withdrawal from my Calculus course, MATH121, during the period of Fall/Winter 2024. Over the past several months, I have been having ongoing mental health issues which have impacted by ability to complete work to a degree I would otherwise be capable of. I am concerned that continued enrollment in this course could drastically impact my overall average, as well as my personal well being. I believe that the best course of action for me would be to withdraw from this course to better focus on recovery, both academically and mentally. I understand that this course is required to continue my studies within the department of computer science, and I intend to retake the course at a time when I am more capable of it. I kindly ask for your consideration in approving this petition so I may maintain my academic and personal wellbeing. Thank you.
