Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: For Dr. Jenn Stephenson,

I am writing to respectfully request a waive of the deadline for submitting an academic appeal for my failed Winter 2023 grades. While I understand the importance of adhering to established timelines, I hope my circumstances during that time provide sufficient grounds for consideration.

As outlined in my appeal for the Winter 2024 term, I faced significant challenges due to chronic kidney issues and undiagnosed ADHD, both of which greatly affected my academic performance. At the time, I was unaware of my ADHD diagnosis, which was only confirmed after the deadline for the appeal had passed. Without this knowledge or documentation of the condition, I was unable to submit an appeal earlier for challenges I could not fully articulate or understand.

I hope the additional context provided in my Winter 2024 appeal underscores the sincerity of my request and highlights the extenuating circumstances that prevented me from meeting the original deadline. I am very committed to ensuring that my academic record accurately reflects my potential and dedication.
