Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean,

My name is Wang, my student number is 20304717. I want to apply for an extra 6 credits to take Fren courses at Athabasca University to complete my major program.
In the last Academic Petition, you recommended me to take Fren 219 and other Online 200 level Fren Courses in summer. However, when I asked the French Office for more information, they told me “Queen’s Faculty of Arts and Science has recently reviewed its academic program offerings through Arts and Science Online (ASO) and FREN 236, 237, 238, and 239 will not be offered for the foreseeable future. FREN 225 is being offered this fall, but I don't know when it will be offered again.” According to my current situation, Fren Study Office and LLCU UG office recommend me to take 6 credits of 200 level course at Athabasca University.

I checked the courses in Athabasca (Fren 301,300,358 which LLCU UG office and Fren Study Office sent me), and I found those courses need Fren 362 as the prerequisites. I asked Professor Stephane Inkel about the transfer credits for French 362 and he told me that this course can be transferred to the 200-level course of Queens.

I have already enrolled in 5 courses in the winter. I plan to complete 2 Fren courses from Athabasca University in the summer and complete my undergraduate program.
