To Whom It May Concern,
Re: Request for Late Withdrawal from CISC 101 Introduction to Computer Programming
I am writing to formally request a late withdrawal from CISC 101 Introduction to Computer Programming for the Fall 2024 semester. This request is made due to challenges that have impacted my academic performance in this course.
I currently have post-concussion syndrome which causes persistent migraines, particularly I have experience them during in-class tests and examinations. Despite my best efforts to manage these symptoms, migraines during examinations affected my ability to perform at my best during these assessments.
These challenges resulted in poor marks on two examinations, which do not reflect my true capabilities or potential in the subject. I attempted to push through these difficulties, but my health condition has hindered my academic progress in this course.
I believe that under different circumstances, my performance would have been much stronger. My current academic struggles have led me to conclude that withdrawing from this course is in my best academic and personal interest.
I kindly ask for your understanding and approval of my request for a late withdrawal due to these circumstances. I am committed to my studies and am actively working towards managing my health and ensuring this does not affect my future academic performance.
Thank you for considering my request. Please let me know if any additional documentation or information is required to process this petition.
Sincerely,
Cole Evans
