Petition Letter: Petition for Grade Appeal – Fall 2023 Semester

My petition is supported by documentation from my healthcare provider, which outlines the extenuating circumstances that significantly affected my ability to perform to the best of my abilities.

During this period, I faced ongoing mental health challenges, which were beyond my control and severely impacted my focus, energy, and capacity to manage my coursework effectively. These challenges were not isolated but part of a broader struggle I have been addressing since 2022 with professional support. Despite my efforts to maintain my academic responsibilities, the cumulative effects of these difficulties led to a decline in my performance in these courses.

The attached letter from my healthcare provider, Pamela Hall, MC, RP, confirms my ongoing dedication to addressing these challenges and highlights the continuous support I have sought to overcome them. I have been actively engaged in managing my mental health through counseling and personal strategies, demonstrating my commitment to both my well-being and academic success.

I kindly request that you consider these extenuating circumstances when reviewing my petition. I am eager to continue my academic journey at Queen's University and believe that the requested considerations will provide an equitable opportunity for me to do so.
