Petition Letter: Hello,

Due to my severe allergic symptoms in the fall semester, I had a severe cough and severe pain under my right ribs. When it was severe, I couldn't even take a deep breath because I felt severe pain. This seriously affected my life. This forced me to study at home, but the pressure made me very anxious. I have a history of moderate anxiety and depression, but I can't take psychiatric drugs or Advil and allergy drugs at the same time, so I only took Advil and allergy drugs during this period. I emailed my professors to communicate my situation and applied for the postponement of the first exams. Then I returned to China for treatment during the winter break.
During this period, my allergic cough symptoms were well treated. They significantly improved, but because I felt very nervous, irritable, and had difficulty concentrating in the fall semester, I had a reexamination in a Chinese hospital during the winter break and resumed using psychiatric drugs. The doctor recommended that I rest more and reduce my academic burden. But because I just started retaking these Psychotropic drugs, I sometimes still can't keep my emotions in a calm state, but I hope that this situation will gradually improve and I will stick to taking the Psychotropic medicine. So, given my current mental state, I sincerely request that the exam be postponed for a second time.
