Petition Letter: I would like to request to receive CR for FREN P12. During the semester, I really enjoyed this class, however right before exam week I found out I had mono, making me unable to write my exam on the day it was scheduled. I was ill for the majority of the summer, but once I started feeling a bit better I decided I would try and write my exam. For the first few weeks of summer I was unable to study due to my exhaustion, I didn't realize how fatigued mono would make me. I believe this had a negative impact on my exam in this course. Being a first-year student, I didn't understand the importance of my GPA and did not know CR was an option. I truly appreciate your consideration of this matter.
