Petition Letter

Petition Letter: I am writing to request academic consideration for pettition to withdrawl, as my performance has been significantly impacted by extenuating circumstances beyond my control.

Over the past four years, I have faced the truma of being sexually assulted on the Queen's campus. These events affected my ability to be in class, be present on campus without the consistent reminder.

During this challenging period, I took steps to address the situation. I sought support from Student Wellness Services, who after fighting to be heard - provided guidance and assistance to help me move forward. A letter from Student Wellness can be included as part of my documentation, detailing my proactive steps and commitment to overcoming these challenges.

The effects of these circumstances on my academic performance were significant. Having failed numerous classes and assignments. I have since taken measures to improve my situation and am committed to continuing my progress.

I respectfully request your understanding and consideration of these extenuating circumstances in evaluating my academic performance. I am confident that, with the appropriate support, I can return to my previous level of success and contribute positively to the academic community.

Thank you for your time and understanding. Please do not hesitate to contact me if further information or clarification is needed.

Sincerely,
Nicholas McIlmoyle
