Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Hello, my name is Vasily and I am a fourth year Economics student at Queen’s University expecting to graduate this Spring.

At the start of this winter semester the SOLUS portal has placed me on a waiting list for a course (ECON 452) that was in conflict with another course I was enrolled in (ECON 361), as a result I was unable to get enrolled into ECON 452 course.

After discussing the issue with the Economics department and the Academic Petitions Team I dropped out of the ECON 361 course and was able to get enrolled into the ECON 452 course.

I still need to add another 300-level course in order to graduate this spring. ECON 320 fits into my current schedule and based on my communication with the professor and the Economics Department I believe that the professor, Michael Kennedy, will allow me to join.

I will attach screenshots of my communications with the Academic Petitions Team, the Economics department, and Michael Kennedy.

Thank you.

Academic Plan

Academic Plan: I will dedicate all my time to catch up with my courses and I am confident that I will succeed. I am also willing to meet with the instructor and create a plan.

For part two weeks I was seriously concerned that I would not be able to graduate this spring. Now that I see that I most likely will, I am relived and eager put in the work and successfully graduate.
