Petition Letter: My name is Xiyue Zhang, and I am APEC student. This semester, I enrolled in EMPR110. Due to the course’s difficulty and my academic situation, I would like to request that this course be designated as Credit Standing, meaning that I retain the course credit without it affecting my GPA.
Firstly, the course has proven to be more challenging than I initially expected. Despite dedicating significant time and effort to my studies, I have encountered considerable difficulties. Additionally, due to a scheduling conflict, I missed a quiz that carried a high weight in the final grade, which has significantly impacted my overall performance. I am concerned that this will lower my GPA substantially.
Given these circumstances, I kindly request to designate this course as Credit Standing to ensure a fair GPA calculation while still recognizing the knowledge I have gained. I remain committed to completing the course and meeting the necessary passing requirements.
