Petition Letter: Hello,

I am petitioning to late drop courses past the academic deadline, and to extend the 1 year timeframe of late dropping courses to fall semester of 2022 under the advisement of the faculty of arts and science, my course instructors and my QSAS advisor. I have had medical conditions diagnosed since 2019; however, I didn’t know that getting QSAS accommodations was an option at Queen’s University until the beginning of the fall 2024 semester. As a result, my healthcare provider completed my health verification form in September 2024, and my accommodations got put into place in October 2024. I am petitioning to extend the timeframe to late drop courses to fall semester of 2022 because I didn’t have the accommodations I needed for the courses I was enrolled in. I would be very grateful for your support and understanding.
