I'm writing to formally request a late course drop due to medical reasons. Over the past month, I've experienced significant side effects from a new medication prescribed for a diagnosed mood disorder. The medication led to akathisia, a condition causing constant restlessness and severely impacting my daily functioning. Unfortunately, this resulted in missed assignments and declining performance, and I am currently not passing the course.
Given these circumstances, I kindly ask for your consideration in approving my petition for a late course drop.
