Due to extenuating circumstances beyond my control that have significantly impacted my academic performance during the Winter 2025 term.
Specifically, the ongoing faculty strike at Queens has disrupted regular instruction and support for my courses. The lack of consistent access to lectures, tutorials, and instructor feedback has made it extremely difficult to maintain the academic standards expected of me. This prolonged uncertainty and inconsistent access to academic resources have directly affected my performance in courses:
I am committed to my academic success and hope that the committee will consider the extraordinary nature of these circumstances. I respectfully request that my petition be granted to continue my studies under fair and supportive conditions.
Thank you very much for your understanding and consideration.
Sincerely,
Ramana Karunakaran
