Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Due to the strike that was ongoing throughout the winter semester of 2025, there was a lack of communication between myself, the course instructor as well at the teaching assistants. This course had vague descriptions of assignments with a lack of clear instructions. When clarification was asked for, I was left even more confused. There was 1 assignment that was submitted before the strike commenced that the ta didn’t provide feedback on when feedback was promised. This assignment has 3 sections all that were built on one another worth 30% and due to the lack of feedback I was unaware of my mistakes. Due to this the other assignments that were the same lacked clarification and I was left confused. This impacted my grade which I feel is unfair. This course was the course that I continuously struggled with due to the circumstances of the semester and a lack of guidance by the instructor and the teaching team.
