Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I'm writing to petition for late enrollment in RELS 131: World Religions/Religious Worlds (Online - 2582) for the May–July 12-week summer session. I'm requesting that the add deadline be waived, as I was on the course waitlist prior to the May 9, 2025 enrollment cutoff and wasn't offered a seat before the deadline passed.
As of today, I have noticed that there are 5 open seats in the course. I contacted the instructor, Dr. Danielle LaGrone, to ask whether I could still join the class, and she kindly said that I'm welcome to participate and that I have her support. Given that it's been less than 10 business days since the deadline, I respectfully request that I be allowed to enroll late (if possible, if not, then I understand). I'm committed to catching up on all missed material + engaging with the course content from this point on. Thank you very much for your consideration. I would be grateful for the opportunity to participate in RELS 131 this summer (if possible).
