Petition Letter: Dear Sir:
My name is Xu Yiyang. I'm an international student. The punishment I received was that I had to withdraw from school for one year,I hope my status can be changed to Placed on Academic Probation. I can explain why my grades this semester were so bad. As my mother fell seriously ill in November 2024, her kidney function suffered from acute failure and a new kidney source needs to be sought immediately. She is in China while I am studying in Canada. I can't see her and can't ask her about her physical condition in detail. I thought I could overcome these psychological barriers and study well, but unfortunately I can't. I can't concentrate on my courses. Sometimes I can only cry in my room but I can't do anything. I'm afraid my mother will die. I'm very scared. This led to my extreme lack of enthusiasm for classes. But fortunately, my mother has currently found a suitable kidney source and is recovering. I'm very glad to hear this news, so I have enough motivation to focus on my classes in the next and next semesters. I think it's because my psychological quality is too fragile. I shouldn't overestimate myself. But now the problem has been basically solved and I believe I have made new preparations.
Since my mastery of professional English vocabulary is not yet very proficient, I will definitely work harder to meet new challenges. Thank you the world for giving my mother a new life again.
But unfortunately, I can't provide proof. This is a problem with my psychological quality. My parents keep this matter strictly confidential from me. They don't want me to know about it. They are afraid of affecting me (and that's indeed the case). Every time they call me, they pretend to be relaxed. But I still learned about this from my grandma, and as a result, my grades were not good. I swear by the lives of myself and my family that I never lied and I would never joke about my mother's life. And I will surely attend classes well next semester and strive to graduate smoothly as they hope.
