Petition Letter
Petition Letter: Application.
The purpose of this letter is to waive the requirements for my one-year withdrawal and three course withdrawals. I have experienced temporary difficulties in my past academic career, including a language barrier and a sense of isolation and separation from my community. As an international student studying a math-related major, I felt challenged and weak in the language, I felt disconnected from the community due to language stress, and I did not receive good advice and guidance, which resulted in me not planning my studies and courses well, but this summer I had several conversations with my academic advisor, who was very helpful and understanding. I took relevant literature courses during the summer such as Engl100 which gave me confidence in what I was going to do next, in addition for the three classes why I didn't drop them at the required time was because I felt that I had the ability to pass the courses before then and that I needed the credits, but the end result wasn't very good all of these courses were a few points short of passing, so I asked to be able to drop them in the hopes that my I hope that my request will be honored.

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: This academic plan outlines the strategies I will adopt to ensure improved academic performance and continued progress toward my degree in Mathematics over the coming year. It includes adjustments to my course load, renewed commitment to on-campus support services, and a proactive approach to addressing any future challenges that may arise. In order to better manage my time and academic responsibilities, I plan to reduce the number of courses I take per semester. This strategy will allow me to devote more focused time and energy to each course, improving both comprehension and performance. My goal is to create a sustainable workload that ensures not only academic success but also personal well-being.I remain committed to completing my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Over the coming year, I will prioritize passing the courses I did not successfully complete in previous terms. I will work closely with academic advisors to sequence these courses strategically, ensuring that I fulfill all program requirements while maintaining a manageable pace.To support my academic and personal development, I will actively engage with on-campus support services, including regular meetings with an academic planning advisor to monitor progress and adjust my course plan if necessary.Counseling services to manage stress, enhance mental well-being, and build resilience in a university environment.Tutoring and learning support resources for courses in which I have previously struggled or anticipate difficulty.Workshops and time management seminars to strengthen my study skills and productivityIn the event of unforeseen challenges, such as language barriers, interpersonal difficulties, or other force majeure events, I will take immediate and responsible action by communicating with the relevant campus services (e.g., International Student Office, Academic Support, Student Wellness Services) to resolve issues before they impact my academic performance.Documenting and reporting concerns promptly to instructors and advisors when difficulties interfere with coursework.Requesting accommodations or academic support when appropriate to ensure continuous progress in my degree. This academic plan reflects my dedication to making meaningful changes in how I approach my education. I am confident that with a lighter course load, enhanced use of university resources, and a proactive mindset toward unexpected challenges, I can achieve greater academic success in the coming year. I appreciate your support as I work toward my goals.
