Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Associate Dean Stephenson,

I hope you are doing well. I’m writing to request a CR for HLTH 237 from the Winter 2025 term. Due to the TA strike, the short and long answer sections of both Test 2 and the final exam weren’t graded. As a result, my final grade was based only on multiple-choice questions, which didn’t reflect the full scope of my work or understanding in the course.

I’ve completed all course requirements and am currently working with my advisor to develop an academic plan that better suits my learning needs and goals. I agree that taking a lighter course load will help me focus more deeply on each subject and improve my academic performance moving forward.

I understand that a CR may not fully offset the impact on my GPA, but I hope it can at least partially reflect the circumstances and support my effort to stay on track academically.
