Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: am writing to respectfully request an amendment to my previously granted petition (Submission Number: 11780, approved on May 6, 2024) regarding the removal of courses from my transcript due to extenuating circumstances.

In my original submission, I inadvertently omitted two additional courses that I intended to include as part of the petition:

ENIN207 – 2024 Winter

COMM251 – Fall 2023

These courses were affected by the same extenuating circumstances outlined in my initial petition, and the academic and personal impacts I described at the time applied equally to these two courses. Prior to my mom's health deteriorating as highlighted in the previous petition, I had very high grades in both these courses and submitted high quality work. Due to frequent hospital visits and travelling between Kingston and Ottawa to help her out, I missed important submissions which significantly impacted my grade - and did not properly reflect the work/my abilities in these courses. I take full responsibility for the oversight and kindly ask that you consider extending the DR notation to these courses as well.

I remain incredibly grateful for the support and understanding shown during the original review. Thank you for your time and consideration of this request.
